[edit] History
The Open Descent Foundation was created on 13th May 2007, by King Lo and D.Cent at the SourceForge[1] website. The website was online 4 days later. Also a forum was created on a webserver by Lima City[2]. To be more flexible, the forum moved to "www.odf-forum.de" (now inactive) - a gift by "Wormaus".
On 2nd May 2008, the forum and the homepage moved again. This time the main reason was, that we could not use the MySQL-database on the SourceForge[3] site. Because we couldn't put a homepage on a URL that is called "www.odf-forum.de, we got a new URL www.odf-online.org[4] website. The old site now links to this URL. The old one was deleted, so everything is running now on the same URL (Thanks to Wormaus again ;-) ).
[edit] Main Projects
The main projects are Flight Back (a 6DoF game), D321GO!!, (a Descent launcher for both Windows and Linux), DOH (a tool for handling HOG1/HOG2/TAR-files) and libodf (a library used by many ODF programs).
Of course there are dozens of other projects. Visit our project page[5] for more information.
