[edit] Previous Forums
On 17th August 2006, D.Cent set up his first forum. It is still alive, and its URL is http://88495.homepagemodules.de. The forum was set up for everyday topics, but was mostly used because its D321GO-Subforum. This was the right place to post bugs and announcements, as well as the famous D321GO TODO lists.
At the beginning of 2007, Cent was looking for a better URL to set up a phpBB2 Forum (The old forum did not have enough functions). He used the free provider 110mb.com. All TODO lists were moved here.
[edit] The ODF Forum
ODF was founded on 13th May - the homepage went online 4 days later. The ODF exists since 13th May, but it was officially announced on 24th June ( http://www.odf-online.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=24 ).
The new forum contained a subforum for D321GO (link to our new forum), where all old topics were moved to.
On 18th June 2007, the forum was moved to odf-forum.lima-city.de/odf-forum, but since this server was quite slow, on 3rd July 2007, finally, Cent moved it to www.odf-forum.de. We thank Wormaus for sponsoring the server.
On 5th January 2008, the board was upgraded from phpBB 2 to phpBB 3.0 (Gold). On 13th April, the forum was upgraded to phpBB 3.0.1 for safety reasons. The next update to 3.0.5 was on the 28th July 2009.
Since we were not satisfied with the features that sourceforge.net gave us, we put the homepage to the forum page on 2nd May 2008. Thus, the new URL of the forum became http://www.odf-online.org/forum, whereas the URL of the homepage became http://www.odf-online.org/homepage.
On 22nd of May, the forum got an own email address.
On 20th of November, the forum got updated again to version phpBB 3.0.6, which came with a new feature for quick answering and a new CAPTCHA system. Unfortunately, this update made the Bug Reporting System we use in our bugs-section unusable. However, Cent is currently working on it.
