[edit] History

The first time Lo made a homepage for one of his projects, this was for D321GO!! in 2006. Since he only had his personal homepage, he added a page for D321GO!! there: http://www.lorenz-privat.net/d321go.html (link leads to a German homepage!). Soon, he realized that D321GO could need an own homepage. Therefore, D.Cent recommended him to use the provider funpic. Since 10th November 2006 to now, D321GO!! was located on http://d321go.d3.funpic.de/mainframe.html (German website).

Since Lo and Cent soon began to write lots of more programs in 2007, they would need a new website that provides the downloads. Therefore, and for other reasons, the ODF was registered (at SourceForge) on 13th May 2007 and on 17th May, 2007, finally, the first homepage went online.

Since we were not satisfied with the features that sourceforge.net gave us, we put the homepage to the forum page on 2nd May 2008. Thus, the new URL of the homepage became http://www.odf-online.org/homepage, whereas the URL of the forum became http://www.odf-online.org/forum. The greeting page lets you choose either to visit the forum or the homepage.

[edit] Designs

[edit] The first design

The first homepage was dark blue with little white and yellow parts. The design was made by Lo. TODO: more text, pictures

[edit] The second design

The design of the homepage was changed accurate on 1st January 2008. The new design should be more simple and also more futuristic. The top is turning from soft grey into white. The menu is also white with a fluently pale violett stripe, whereas the content area turns slowly from white into a shiny yellow (An idea from Lo's sister, Lo first planned to make the content area white-grey before). The links are dark blue, get underlined when the mouse goes over them and are pale violett when the link was already visited. External sites, like the [ODF IRC Applet] or the [Upload Tracker], as well as the greeting site, are colored in a simple ice blue.

[edit] The third design

Lo plans a third design to be written in August/September 2009. The following changes shall be done:

  • The new homepage shall unite the current design with the ice blue of the external sites. Some yellow might be replaced by grey
  • The main menu should get a new structure
  • The ODF logo shall be changed as well (already done)
  • A login area for members with the login data of the ODF Forum (mostly done, by D.Cent)

[edit] Notes

Usually, the ODF logo was changed whenever the homepage was changed, too.

The current stylesheet can always be downloaded here.
