The ODF has the achievement to create and collect good and open source programmes for the games Descent1, -2 and -3. The idea of founding this community resulted of the problems with closed source programmes and tools that could not be ported to Linux or buggy programmes that could not be fixed. All our members must accept the idea of Open Source.

Members don't have to be programmers or scripters, everyone is welcome. We also need testers, supporters, people who write concepts, donators, graphic designers, song writers and sound effecters, advocates :), fans and people making advertising for us.

Note that we upload all Descent programmes that are open source. However, if you want your sources to get the ODF certificate, there are special rules about licenses you will have to accept. Although we don't respect licenses that are not free software licenses, we will upload your sources here.

The files that are uploaded to this site are mostly source code. We do everything to make compiling easy for you. If you should have problems compiling something, do not hesitate to contact us! If you are still so unpatient (or lazy ;)) that you want to avoid compiling, you might want to press on the link on the right of your download link. This should take you to a large archive of precompiled binaries ;) (RPMs, DEBs, tarballs) ...
